SUBJECT: Sea piracy attacks - Barratries off Somalia

REG.: My letter to the Minister of Mercantile Marine, Mr.Anastassios Papaligouras,

dated 19/11/2008

Dear Sirs,

I have been watching with particular interest, aw well aw agony the events place off Somalia

and the gulf of Aden, and I am particularly worried about the fate of 200 (two hundred) fellow seamen,

who have been held hostage to this day by Barraters - Sea pirates.

As strange as it may seem, only myself can understand their psychology, their agony, their fears

for their lives, since I am aware of their living conditions and the pressures exerted by the armed sea pirates.

I have been a victim of barratry - sea piracy and my crew and I experienced a hostage nightmare

for "48 days."

This is precisely the reason why I immediately came to offer my services and my knowledge

"f r e e o f c h a r g e " to our relevant ministry since I am all too well familiar with the perpetrators way

of thinking and action, the methods followed, the precautions taken, and a number of their other "trade"

secrets.....which I believe will be of use in this phase.

Thirty years ago, I was the one to "pull us all out of the fire," when a similar ring was active in the

Middle East, being efficient at the time and favouring mercantile marine, putting an end to the ambitious

plans of Barraters - Sea Pirates.

For such services of mine, I have been offered the medal of "a b s o l u t e l y n o t h i n g."

This is how the Greek State rewards Greek Captains for their highest services to the Greek State and the

Greek mercantile marine.

Unfortunately, our Minister of Mercantile Marine did not reply to such offer of mine,therefore,

I address you, in case you consider my knowledge to be more use than my country's political and military

leadership.
